Schörghuber Group

Founded in Munich in 1954, Bayerische Hausbau bundles the Schörghuber Group's construction and real estate activities in its Development and Real Estate divisions.

The activities comprise traditional property development activities as well as portfolio, asset and property management services for the company's own portfolio of properties. Bayerische Hausbau's primary focus is large-scale commercial and residential projects in city-center locations in Germany.

The Schörghuber name has been synonymous with construction and beer brewing since 1979. This is the year that Josef Schörghuber acquired a majority shareholding in the Hacker-Pschorr Bräu, Paulaner-Salvator-Thomasbräu and Kulmbacher Reichelbräu breweries. With 10 breweries today, the Beverages division places emphasis on diversity and the regional art of beer brewing.

The division is managed by the Paulaner Brewery Group, a joint venture between the Schörghuber Group (70 percent) and Heineken (30 percent). The Paulaner Brewery Group is the largest brewery group in southern Germany.

Arabella Hospitality’s first hotel opened its doors in 1969 in Munich's Arabellapark. Today, the central holding company for the Hotels division bundles all of the group's hotel activities in Germany, Switzerland and Mallorca under its roof.

This includes 14 hotels that carry the internationally renowned brand names St. Regis, Westin, Sheraton, Aloft, Luxury Collection and Four Points by Sheraton. Starwood Hotels & Resorts, today Marriott, has been a strategic partner to the Schörghuber Group since 1998.

The Seafood business division has its origin in the Schörghuber family's private business ventures in Chile. This includes Productos del Mar Ventisqueros, a salmon farming and production company that was founded in 1989 and is today Chile's top ten salmon producers.

Ventisqueros concentrates primarily on the farming and selling of Atlantic salmon and Pacific salmon (coho). The company is well aware of its responsibility to consumers, customers, service providers, animals and the environment in this context. As a member of the Global Salmon Initiative (GSI), Ventisqueros is committed to sustainable salmon farming.
